Starting May 24, a ban on the sale and distribution of egg cartons, food service ware and food trays made from polystyrene foam begins.

With Memorial Day right around the corner, the City of San Diego is rolling out the second phase of the polystyrene foam and single-use plastics ordinance.

  5. Yay!! I hate styrofoam and poly containers and the way they feel. Squeeky and weird. I am going to start carrying my own containers for let overs in a cute little tote and see how it goes for lunch time. See what response I get.

  11. I think it would be fair to charge $.10 for every Togo container/bag you need. Nobody needs to put the 2 pieces of fries in it’s own box.
